Well I'm pretty sure those would all count as metal bands. Also, these aren't the only bands I listen to, just the metal ones mostly.

Now is this Metal in general, as mentioned by the topic title and the latter part of your post, or just heavy metal specifically?

May I add just how happy I am to see Dethklok on the list.

That comment was repeated when someone said something about Enter Sandman.

I'm not a HUGE fan of metal, I CANNOT stand when you can't understand the singer because they're screaming, that's dumb, it sounds horrible, shut up and never go near a mic again.

All of these bands pale in comparison to Dethklok. They are the most BRUTAL. BAND. EVER.

Meh, if I can't understand lyrics the first time; oh well. A lot of the bands I listen to have accents so I can't really blame them. I do however agree that the constant incoherent growling/screaming is a bit of a put-off.

I heard Vibeke,the old singer left the band.

I keep hearing bits and pieces of Lacuna Coil anywhere but I've never really listened to them before.

Listen to a load of Nightwish though, as those two always seem to get stuck together in the same discussion XD

Yeah youre right Nightwish and Lacuna Coil sure appear together a lots of times.
I dunno why there genres are completely different......maybe there both havin some sort of Lez relation!

Really Tarja left the Band

These sure are tough days for me I liked Tarja a lot,she really rocked nightwish,with her gone they would suck!
Tristania vocalist Vibeke also left the band and now you saying Tarja left.Now I hope Cristina dont leave lacuna Coil.
La Cunacoil is the only remianing one out of my favourite Goth Style.

Uh...yeah...she left...back in October of '05...wasn't pretty....


(They're announcing the new vocalist in May though, as well as a new single release and their next album is out in September.)

Personally; I'm one of the hopefuls who're giving the new vocalist a chance before passing any sort of "pass"/"fail" judgement on the band.

Actually I dont give much a damn about Nightwish.
If you get any info about Tristania let me know....

ANYway...

Anyone else annoyed that they only stuck "Lost Souls in Endless Time" on a Dragonforce promo CD almost a YEAR after the original Inhuman Rampage came out? *not paying another $20 for one extra song*
