There are some good moments in it, and the animation's nice, but there are still a fair number of parts that make me want to visit gurochan to purify my eyes.

Guro-chan? Is it really that bad? Well, what're the worst parts? The story, maybe?

Regarding the quality...

I suppose some amount of it was in the villains. I can understand how they might wanna "kiddie-fy" these movies, but if they're willing to show someone getting hanged, another guy getting turned to stone and shattered, I think they can get away with some amount of heavier violence.

Put simply; it's worth watching if you're bored and need something a bit more than your average once-a-week episode. If you've got other anime to watch though...go for that instead.

And the Rasengan . . . did they end it with Naruto beating the bad guy with the Rasengan as is par for the other two movies?

I swear, eventually it's going to get to the point where I can't take Naruto seriously, because that's the only finishing move he ever uses anymore. Can we say, "boring"? Tell me that I'm not the only one thinking it, please.

Yes, waterballoon ball of doomage was used again.

Except this time he was carried towards his target by a 400 pound guy with spikes in his stomach, so you can tell there was at least some amount of comic relief there XD

*Sigh* Where did the originality go? Is there some sort of frickin' Rasengan fan-club or something?

it's like how he regularly uses the kage-bunshin, even though it's supposedly a jounin-rank forbidden move.

To the credit of the people who work the filler-type stuff; Naruto's ability to perform such things in excess is explained simply by the Kyuubi's excessive chakra output, so it's not as though he does these moves that require a lot of chakra solely because "he's just that much of an all around good guy!".

Still though; I'd like to see him at least WORK towards an objective in a method that doesn't involve kage-bunshin pile-ons and a rasengan.


Thankfully; Kishimoto doesn't overdo things in that sense. Naruto only used the rasengan perfectly a few times in the canon manga. Other times he failed or it was incomplete.

True enough. The people who write the fillers should be dragged out into the middle of a road somewhere and shot . . . or at least starved for a few days, after which you show them a very delicious sandwich, then take it away.

I swear, the only reason I dropped the Naruto RP we had going was for the fact I just couldn't take meaningless episodes anymore. Now that Shippuuden's up and running, I'm not quite as bitter anymore . . . though I must say, the damage has been done.

Fillers: Naruto pwns bad guy as everyone else looks on uselessly in awe.

Shippuuden: Naruto's largely helpless to prevent a disaster and even after victory is achieved; it is at a price.

Yeah. Fillers suck, though, some of them are funny, like when those imposters who impersonated Maito Guy and Rock Lee, they were hullarious

Eh, but even that got old fast. I mean, there were only three/four imposter-scenario episodes, but if I recall rightly; practically every one of them involved Lee or Gai, and someone getting into an embarassing situation.

I dont remember, but ah well. All I know is that the fourth movie is coming out...and it better be worth the 100+ hours I spent catching up on youtube...or TV TOKYO will DIE!!

Meh, the previews look good. So, there shouldnt be any issues. *Does random fanboy dance* I cant wait for it to come out in August.
